Shabby Chic Clock

Hello again from Glendale.  It's Sunday afternoon and I wanted to share a Shabby Chic clock that I have created.

To begin the clock was an unpainted metal clock from Tim Holtz.

To create the Shabby Chic look I used a combination of flowers, pearl floral sprays and metal vintage pieces.

. The Vanilla and Blue flowers are silk with Pink Angel glimmer spray applied.
. The paper flowers are made from the Once Upon a Time Paper Collection
. I used the Arianna Blooms stamp and matching die set.
. The flowers were accented with Dries Clear Glue and Crystal glitter.
. Tim Holtz Ideology metal accent pieces- Flowers, Wings, Ornate accent piece
. Pearl Spray
. White Flower Stamens.
. White gesso
. Martha Steward Antique Ivory and Light Peach craft paint
. Aleene's Sealer

To begin I used gesso on the metal clock and then painted it with Antique Ivory and Light Peach paint from Martha Stewart.  I swirled to 2 colors together to give an aged look and then sealed it with Aleene's Spray Acrylic Sealer in a Gloss Finish.

Heartfelt Creations has amazing paper collections.  For this project I used the one called "Once Upon a Time".

For the interior of the clock on the inside back panel I cut a circle from the paper collection in a plain color then layered 2 smaller circles and created a clock face.  To finish the look of a clock I added  clock hands from the Tim Holtz Ideology collection.  At the bottom of the inner clock face I added a spray of flowers of various colors matching the theme of the project.

For the outside of the clock I hot glued a collection of hand made flowers from HC as well as pre-made silk flowers, pearls and leaves.  I began hot glueing the flowers about half way down the left side of the clock adding to the top and bottom of the display as I built the floral spray.

On the opposite side I added a metal angel wing, peals, leaves and flowers. On the top of the clock there is an accent piece from the paper collection that is inserted into the ornate metal piece that says "Let the good times roll"

This was a really fun project and I hope that you enjoy trying to make one your self.  It is part of my vintage collection on a pot shelf in my stairwell.

Please leave me a comment and Have a Blessed Day!
