Today I wanted to share a Christmas card that I made for my husband. The paper, stamps and dies are from the 2015 Heartfelt Creations 'Sparkling Poinsettia' collection.
Other supplies used were:
. Ranger Gold embossing powder and Versa Mark ink
. Stampin up Mossy Meadow green paper and Ink
. Stampin up Cranberry Cobbler paper and Ink
. Stampin up CC, MM, and Old Olive Stampin Wright Markers
. Lions Main glitter and Dries Clear glue
. Gold Prills
. 2 1/2" circle punch and 1 1/2" scalloped punch Stampin Up
The White Front Panel:
. Here I cut out the white face from the 5X7 spellbinders Heirloom Legacy die.
. On a white piece of cardstock I stamped the Candle with the Poinsettia Wreath in Versa Mark ink and embossed with Ranger Gold embossing powder. I cut out the candle image with the Eyelet Oval Die from HC and colored in the image with Stampin Up markers in green and red tones with a bit of yellow for the candle flame.
. The floral spray is made from Red Poinsettias that are Gold embossed and Green leaves edged in Mossy Meadow ink and Lions Main glitter and dries clear glue.
. A few red dots were added from Stampin Up and a Merry Christmas banner for accent.
Inside of the white Front Panel:
. Here I cut out an oval from the cranberry card-stock using dies from the Eyelet Oval Die collection from HC.
. I then used the Manger stamp from the collection and Gold embossed the scene onto Cranberry paper. I fussy cut out the image and used foam dots to give it some dimension.
. To join the 2 cards together I cut a ban of paper 2" wide and about 11 long. I glued it under the white circle on the green card, across the back of the 6X6 panel and inserted it under the Manger scene and the red oval. I then added the other half of the velcro circle onto the oval so the card would stay closed. You could use a magnet instead between the layers of paper if you prefer.
. To finish the card I added glitter here and there and a bit of Wink of Stella to add some additional sparkle to the flowers and accent pieces.
Inside Green card:
. I used 2 6X6 panels from the paper collection
The 6X6 center panel was over-layed with a 4X6 panel containing Christmas prayer and decorated with Poinsettias from the collection. The white accents are from the Cut Mat Create die set 2 A. Poinsettias and Leaves were stamped with Versa Mark ink on Cranberry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow Stampin Up paper and embossed with Ranger Gold embossing powder.
Green floral edged flaps:
. From a green print page I cut 2 panels 4X6. Scored at 1" to insert between the 2 6x6 panels forming a hinge and cut the edge with the floral Italiana Riviera die.
. From Gold and Green paper I cut 2 pieces each of paper 3X6 and cut the edges with the Solid Italiana Riviera Edge die. These pieces were all layered together with dries clear glue and they formed the front of the card that opened and closed.
. The flaps were accented with Poinsettia's, Green leaves and foliage along with small cut outs from the paper collection.
. A 2 1/2" circle was punched out of white card stock then stamped with "A Wonderful Christmas" circular wording sentiment. I then added a red scalloped 1 1/2 punch circle and attached a velcro circle disc as a card closure.
I hope you enjoyed learning how I made this card and hope that you will visit my blog again soon to see my next creations. Happy Day until next time!! God Bless!

Shabby Chic-All Glammed Up 12X12 Layout
| Shabby Chic 12X12 Layout |
To begin here is a list of the products that I used:
. Heartfelt Creations Antiquity Paper Collection ( i just love it!)
. HC Decorative Oval and Eyelet Oval Dies
. All Glamed Up Shoe Stamp and Die set
. Spellbinders Heart Nestabilites Die set
. A 'Delicate Fan' die from Tonic Studios
. Tim Holtz Distressed inks in-Victorian Rose, Aged Mahogany, Bundled Sage and Vintage Photo
. Tim Holtz Ideology metal pieces
. HC Open Vintage Floret Stamp and die set
. HC 'Beautiful You" stamp and die
. A few pre made silk flowers
. Versa Mark ink and Recollections Copper embossing powder
. JudiKins Chocolate Twinkle embossing powder
. Viva 3D Stamp Paint in Walnut Brown Metallic
. Elizabeth craft design glitter in Fire Opal
. Dries Clear Glue from art glitter
To begin this project I used a 3 step background. The first layer is a 12X12 piece of heavy weight black chipboard. I then layered a solid sheet of paper from the Antiquity Paper collection in a solid burgundy color. On top of that was another sheet of paper from the collection that was a soft neutral. This is the sheet that I built my creation on.
First I shredded the edges with a razor blade tool and painted the ragged edges with the 3D Walnut Brown Metallic paint and let it dry. Then I layered the 2 HC Oval die cuts and added them to the center of the paper-inking edges with Victorian Rose and Aged Mahogany Distress inks and Walnut Metallic paint. On the bottom left corner I used several Rose and Leaf stamps and dies to create the floral spray from HC products and added just a few silk flowers to the mix for added dimension and flavor.
For the Roses I stamped the Open Vintage Floret Stamps on the Antiquity paper collection with versa mark ink and heat embossed them with the Copper embossing powder from Recollections. For the leaves I used 'Beautiful You' stamps and dies. To add shape to the flowers and leaves I used the HC Flower Shaping Tool kit and glued the layers together with hot glue. Once the flowers were done I sprayed them with Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in heirloom gold to give the antiqued look. For the Fan in the floral spray I cut it out of the paper collection and sprayed it with Aleene's Tacky Spray and sprinkled with Fire Opal glitter. This gave an amazing look and really finished off the look.
In the top corner here is where I added in the All Glammed Up Shoe stamp and die. Again using paper from the collection, versa mark ink, but this time I used the chocolate twinkle embossing powder and for the first time used a dove blender pen and colored in the roses on the shoe with distress inks in Vintage Rose, Aged Mahogany and Bundled Sage. This really added a nice touch to the project.
At the top of the Oval Die on the right side is where I used the Spellbinders Nestabilites Heart Dies. I cut a dark and a light heart and layered up using some metal pieces with the Oval Die in the center of the piece and added a small piece of ivory toile.
Some additional accents were silk flowers in the torn side opening of the paper and 2 more hearts cut from dark and light paper with a key glued on for some accent. Here and there I did paint the edges with the 3D Walnut Brown Metallic paint and Aged Mahogany distress ink for the antiqued effect.
I used dries clear glue throughout this project and my die cutting machine is the Tim Holtz Vagabond.

That completes this project. Please leave me a comment and tell me if you like my creation! Thanks for stopping by!! God Bless!
Antique Food Scale altered art
Actual products that were used on this project were:
. Heartfelt Creations 'Butterfly Medley Paper Collection'
. HC Botanical Rose Stamp and Die set
. HC Bella Rose Leaves Stamp and Die set
. HC Open Leaf Precut Stamp set and dies
. A variety of pre-made flowers
. Pink Pearl ribbon in soft pink
. Tim Holtz metal butterfly, angel wing and floral spray
. Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Antiqued Bronze
. Tim Holtz Distressed Inks-Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers.
. Tim Holtz metal bar "encourage your hopes not your fears" . Scraps of Crocheted lace
. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl
. Martha Steward craft paint in Antique Ivory and Light Peach
To begin this project I painted the scale a mixture of Ivory and Light Peach Martha Steward craft paint. Swirling the 2 colors together to create an antiqued look. I then sprayed the scale with a clear sealant. Next I cut out 2 circles from Butterfly Medley paper. One to cover the top scale flat plate that you would lay an item on to be weighed and one to cover the face of the scale that registered the actual weight of the item.
Decorating the circles:
For the top circle I used a hot glue gun and created a collage of flowers, leaves and a SEEDS tags plus a small 'believe' accent piece using dies from the Luggage and Tags HC die set. On the edge I added lace around the edge and accented with the Pink Pearl Ribbon and one small flower from the Majestic Morning HC stamp and die set plus a small swirl from the Cut Mat Create 1A Die collection.
For the front circle I use a variety of flowers that I made as well as metal, silk and resin flowers. The Bronze Bella Rose die cut was stamped with dark brown chalk ink and I added the Tim Holtz antiqued bronze paint over the top. I also painted the hand on the dial face with the antiqued bronze paint. For the large floral spray I cut a piece of cardboard to use as a structured base to attach the flower collage to. Next I cut out 2 more SEEDS Tags and inked the edges with antique bronze paint and added some brown twine through the top holes, then hot glued them to the dial face. Next I added the floral collage. On the opposite side of the front dial I cut out a gold paper circle and a circle with the 'Dream in Beauty' wording and Butterfly from the paper collection. Layered them together and hot glued them onto the dial. All flowers were sprayed with the Tattered Angles Mist to add some sheen.
I hope that you like this item. It sits on a pot shelf in my stairwell along with a wagon, antique doll and a variety of vintage items! Enjoy:)
